Technology:
The brand-new Mercedes-Benz pickup is bound to have some of the most advanced and innovative technology available. It’s likely the brand will incorporate loads of luxury items, like Bluetooth/Hands-free technology, heated seats and more.
Power:

It’s expected that Mercedes-Benz will integrate one of its high-powered engines into the new lightweight pickup. Rumor has it that a 2.3-liter four-cylinder diesel engine may make its way into the model, with a six-cylinder diesel as an upgrade.

A Hot Name:

Mercedes-Benz has a new naming scheme, which means the new pickup will have to fit in with it. Earliest whisperings suggested that the title was going to be the GLT, but the X-Class or Z-Class are apparently the latest favorites.

Mercedes-Benz pickup truck design and debut

The design of the Mercedes-Benz pickup will be based on the Nissan NP300 Navara (better known as the Nissan Frontier in the U.S.). While the pickup’s style will be similar, the brand will surely include some of its top luxury features. It was rumored that we’d have to wait quite a while to get a glimpse of the lightweight Mercedes-Benz pickup, but it seems that a model will be shown sooner than we anticipated. The brand announced their pickup last year, but we were sure that we wouldn’t get anything to look at until around 2020. While that was the original assumption, rumor has it that the brand will release a prototype/concept at the 2016 Paris Auto Show. But the real question is this: Will the Mercedes-Benz pickup make it to the U.S.? So far, it’s been slated as an overseas model.Â
