When Will the 2020 Porsche Taycan Be Available in the United States?
Set to arrive in the United States in the fourth quarter of 2019, the 2020 Porsche Taycan is expected to start at $150,900. When it arrives in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, the Porsche Taycan will be available in two variants – Turbo and Turbo S – that are built on a four-door grand coupe design platform with room for five passengers. Porsche Taycan entries make room for 2.9 cubic feet of cargo space in a front compartment and 12.9 cubic feet of cargo space in the rear trunk.
2020 Porsche Taycan Engine Specs and Features
Power and performance are hallmarks of the Porsche brand and the 2020 Porsche Taycan takes performance to a new level. Porsche Taycan entries employ a pair of high-torque electric motors – one in the front and one in the rear – that are paired with a two-speed transmission that upgrades acceleration. Armed with this powertrain, the entry-level Porsche Taycan Turbo will manufacture 670 horsepower and 626 pound-feet of torque with an overboost function.
The 670-horsepower Porsche Taycan Turbo will sprint from zero to 60 mph in just 3.0 seconds. Amp up performance in the Porsche Taycan Turbo S, which makes 750 horsepower and 774 pound-feet of torque with the ability to go from zero to 60 mph in 2.6 seconds. A 93-kWh lithium-ion battery pack serves as the power source and features an 800-volt rapid charging system that will reduce charging times and contribute to a 280-mile electric driving range.
