Mercedes-Benz model changes and technology updates for 2018

We’re big fans of Mercedes-Benz, which is why we aim to keep some of the most popular models stocked on our pre-owned lot. We currently have 2017 models waiting for to be taken home, but we occasionally like to look a bit further ahead into the future. It may be hard to believe, but 2018 is just around the corner, which means that brands like Mercedes have been releasing their 2018 models to the world! If you’re curious what sorts of updates and changes will be made to the Mercedes-Benz lineup, you’ve come to the right place. We expect to have some of these models available next year, and can’t wait to talk about them!

Mercedes-Benz S-Class

Mercedes is taking the S-Class to the next level for 2018. First, the brand is employing a new design on the exterior, which will add LED taillights, redesigned bumpers, and new headlights. While those additives are great, where the new model will really shine is under the hood. For 2018, the S-Class will debut new powertrain options  – one that produces 362 horsepower , one that offers 463 horsepower , and one that rings in at a whopping 603 horsepower.

All-New E-Class Wagon

If you’ve kept track of the E-Class, chances are that you’re aware the wagon configuration. While the wagon isn’t new news, the fact that this wagon will now offer the option for the 603-horsepower engine is. When the E-Class is equipped with this particular engine, it makes it the fastest wagon in the world. The AMG E63 S Wagon will be able to jet from a standstill to 60 miles per hour in around 3.4 seconds. That’s a pretty fast wagon!

High-Performance SUVs

For quite some time now, the SUV segment has been booming. That may be the case, but there hasn’t really been any stand-out performance SUV model within the luxury segment. Mercedes-Benz is fixing all of that – and fast – with its release of twenty-two different variants. Among the models being released, about half of them will be high-performing AMG models. So, if you’re looking for your next family vehicle, you might as well make it powerful.
