2021 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Engine Options 

When the 2021 Mercedes-Benz E-Class arrives at dealerships, it is expected to debut with a pair of engine options that employ mild-hybrid technology to improve fuel economy. A 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gas engine with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system is expected to be the standard powertrain. Drivers who crave performance may find that the 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system fits the bill. To promote fuel economy, the 2021 E-Class will employ an Eco Mode with a Glide Mode feature that will decouple the engine and transmission and turn the engine off to conserve fuel. With its release, the 2021 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is expected to debut plug-in hybrid variants for the first time in the United States. 

2021 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Design Specs and Technology 

The 2021 Mercedes-Benz E-Class will get a facelift prior to its arrival this summer that will employ a wider grille, a powerful hood design, updated LED headlights and a redesigned lower front bumper. Inside, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class will provide signature Mercedes-Benz luxury at every turn that is complemented by a next-generation MBUX infotainment system that features a pair of 10.25 touchscreen displays. Highlights of the 2021 Mercedes-Benz E-Class spec sheet are expected to include Mercedes-Benz Urban Guard safety systems, Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC, Active Tailback Assist, Active Steering Assist, Active Blind Spot Assist, gesture control technology and more.
