Engine specs of the 2021 Ford Bronco Sport  

Two turbocharged engine options are available for the new Ford Bronco Sport in 2021. The standard equipment is a 1.5L turbocharged I-3 engine with 181 horsepower. This results in torque output of around 190 lb.-ft. A 2.0L turbo-four engine with 245 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque is also available. Both engines are coupled with an eight-speed automatic transmission to deliver optimal power production.  

Off-roading features of the new 2021 Ford Bronco  

The 2021 Ford Bronco has extensive off-roading capabilities. The top-of-the-line variant comes with a 2.0L engine and an improved rear axle with clutch packs on each half shaft. This enables the all-wheel-drive system to direct power to wheels with the best traction. It also serves as a rear axle locker and distributes bias torque to the outside wheel. This contributes to a better off-roading experience.  

The knob on the center console behind the rotary shifter is another highlight of the Badland trim. On this vehicle, there are five different GOAT modes to choose from. There are two more settings in the top trim: rock crawl and mud. You may also use the buttons next to the knob to manually engage the four-wheel-drive system, rear axle, off-road cruise control, and other features.
