About the new coupe

In case you aren’t familiar with the new model, we wanted to give you a brief overview of what you can expect. The following specifications will be available in the 2018 GT R Coupe:

  • Handcrafted AMG 4.0-liter biturbo with dry-sump lubrication
  • 577 horsepower at 6,250 rpm
  • Rear-wheel drive
  • Acceleration from 0-60 in 3.5 seconds
  • A 198 mph top speed

Dealership release and pricing information

The 2018 AMG GT R Coupe is slated to arrive in dealerships this summer – so not too far from now! If you’d like one of your own, you’ll have to save about $160,000. The starting MSRP for the model is $157,000. We don’t know about you, but we’re going to have to start saving our pennies for this one.
