BMW Z3 in James Bond: GoldenEye

While many of the vehicles in previous Bond films were representatives of the British flag, GoldenEye finally introduced BMW to the series. The BMW Z3 (relative to the BMW Z4) made it’s debut as the hero’s main mode of transportation, complete with all the gadgets and gizmos that one might typically see in a BMW, plus few additives (like a self-destruct system and missiles). The BMW convertible didn’t last long however, as he traded it for a plane.BMWs driven in James Bond films

BMW Z8 in James Bond: The World Is Not Enough

Although the vehicle is cut in half by a helicopter, the BMW Z8 accents Bond’s character extremely well in The World Is Not Enough. Equipped with missiles and a keychain that can control the car from afar, the convertible is a loyal companion to Bond. Also, this is the only film where concern over the destruction of cars is mentioned.

BMW 520i in James Bond: Win, Lose or Die

In Win, Lose or Die, the BMW 5-Series 520i makes an appearance. While the main car in this film is a Bentley, it is suggested by another character that James Bond take something more subtle on a mission. The BMW is the replacement car (although, we don’t think it’s all that subtle).
