2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class infotainment system
One of the most notable improvements to the E-Class’s interior is found in the infotainment system set-up. Each of the models have a dual-screen set-up, but the upper trims will have offer a larger screen. The set-ups are as follows:
Base model configuration: The base models will have the regular speedometer and tachometer gauge set-up, with a 7-inch screen placed in the middle. On the right of the 7-inch screen, an 8.4-inch screen houses the Mercedes-Benz COMAND system. Â
Upper trim configuration: The upper trims will have access to a massive, 12.3-inch screens. Accompanying the larger screens, drivers will have the opportunity to customize their settings, as well as the look of their gauges.
The new E-Class will also offer steering wheel-mounted controls, giving drivers the opportunity to operate the infotainment system without taking their eyes off the road.
When does the 2017 E-Class go on sale?
The 2017 E-Class is set to make its big debut at the Detroit Auto Show, which is scheduled for January of 2016. During the show, it is expected that more information will be revealed about what sort of powerful mix is brewing under the hood.
