2016 BMW M2 engine specs
A 3.0-liter inline six engine will make an appearance under the hood of the 2016 BMW M2. While that may seem exciting, it has been said that the new engine offers more power than other M-badge vehicles, but less than some. The engine has the capability of outputting about 365-horsepower and 343 pounds-feet of torque, which is only 45 more than the M235i’s 320-horspower and 13 more than its 330 pounds of torque. While those numbers may not seem all that impressive, it pays to remember what BMW is building the M2 for. Power is important in the brand’s M-badge vehicles, but let’s not forget that smooth handling is also a large factor in how a car will be received.
